What Airport Should I Fly Into?
We recommend flying into the Shannon International Airport (SNN) as it's only 30 minutes from Adare. Direct flight options are available from most major airports on the East Coast. Alternatively, the Dublin International Airport (DUB) is approximately 2 hours away. Please refer to the "Flights + Hotels" tab for more information.
How Should I Get To and From The Airport?
Taxis and Ubers are readily available at both the Shannon and Dublin airports. To reserve a car hire at either airport, or to learn more about the train and bus options from Dublin Airport specifically, please refer to the "Flights + Hotels" tab.
Any Passport Requirements?
Friendly reminder to check your passport expiration date before you leave! Your passport just needs to be valid for the duration of your stay (i.e. no need to worry about an extended passport validity requirement to enter Ireland from the U.S.).
What Hotel Should I Stay At?
We have hotel blocks at two hotels in Adare. The first is at Adare Manor, a 5-star hotel where the wedding festivities on Saturday & Sunday will be. The second is at the Dunraven Arms Hotel, a 4-star option only 5 minutes from Adare Manor. Alternatively, there are a number of Airbnb options in the village. What To Wear?
Pub Night: Cocktail attire. If we were attending as guests, Carolann would wear a dress (short or long), jumpsuit, or matching set paired with either sandals or heels. Michael would wear khakis, button down, and a jacket (but no tie).
Wedding Day: Formal attire. Carolann would wear a floor length gown, knee-length cocktail dress, or dressy separates. Michael would wear a suit and tie.
Farewell Brunch: Casual attire. We know this will be a travel day for most, so the intention is to be relaxed and casual! If they weren't in airport athleisure, Carolann would wear a casual dress or jeans paired with comfortable shoes. Michael would wear khakis and a golf shirt.
